My name is Jean and I’m a native French tutor with a lot of experience of teaching French to students of all ages and abilities. I can teach students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. I can also teach students two-to-one. Students often like to study with another student and in some ways there are advantages as it is good to have more than one student when doing role plays and other speaking activities.
Over the past twenty years I have taught French as foreign language. From 1988 to 1990 I taught French at a private school in Pisa, Italy. I taught French for adults in evening classes. From 1990 to 2004 I worked in the French department of the University of Pisa (Italy) and from 2006 to May 2010 as a freelance tutor for school students, Erasmus students and for adults. I came to London in September 2010 and since then I have been teaching privately through an agency called French Classes London which is part of a larger company called Language House Limited. Since registering with this agency they have found me quite a lot of private students. I have experience of teaching French grammar, phonetics, spelling, conjugation, syntax and translation for the students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd year. When teaching, I provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities. I maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development. I like to make use of relevant technology to support instruction. I can teach students at their homes or they can come to me. I can also teach via Skype which means I can teach students anywhere in the world. The beauty of Skype is that it means that people can study French who might otherwise struggle to find a tutor near to where they live.
